Description
Olympus Trip 35 Metal Bottom Plate
What does this part do?
The metal bottom plate protects the camera from knocks and also holds the thread for a tripod and access to the film rewind button. It is secured with 2 small screws.
Note: There are two types of bottom plate on the Olympus Trip 35 camera. One has a completely round hole where the film rewind release button pokes though and one is round but with a flat edge… a bit like a “D” shape. Please select the correct base plate when ordering.
Examples of why this part commonly fails or needs replacing?
- The camera already has a screw missing or has been lost during a camera service etc.
- The screw head has been “stripped” when removing / replacing
- The bottom plate can often suffer with very obvious patina, scratches and dents and so this can be a great aesthetic improvement to the look of a camera
Difficulty Level 1 – Owner-Safe Parts: simple cosmetic or mechanical replacements most users can fit.
What tools are required?
- A Phillips #00 screwdriver tip is typically 2mm in diameter (preferable magnetic head to avoid losing screws).
Condition: Used in Excellent condition. We always pick the best we have from stock but items are used and so will shows signs of use and wear.
