Olympus Trip 35 Replacement Black Shutter Button
What does this part do?
Quite simply, the button you press to take a photograph on a Trip 35. The Black Shutter Button was fitted to Olympus Trip 35 cameras from June 1978 until the end of production in 1984.
Examples of why this part commonly fails or needs replacing?
- Most commonly the original is lost during a previous service
- Black plastic shutter buttons can become brittle over time and may have cracked
- Black shutter button is scratched or chipped
Difficulty Level 1 – Owner-Safe Parts: simple cosmetic or mechanical replacements most users can fit. To replace the black pastic shutter button, the top metal cover needs to be removed from the camera. Once this is done the shutter button is very easily changed.
What tools are required?
- A Phillips #00 screwdriver tip is typically 2mm in diameter (preferable magnetic) head to avoid losing screws.
Condition: Used in Excellent condition. We always pick the best we have from stock but items are used and so may show signs of use and wear.
