What does this part do?
Secures a flash unit to the camera and provides wiring to sync the flash with the shutter. Note: The hot shoe style changed on cameras in approx 1974. Early cameras have a shinier look. Please ensure you are happy with the type for your camera. Options are available to select.

What tools are required?
- A Phillips #00 screwdriver tip is typically 2mm in diameter (preferable magnetic head to avoid losing screws). Soldering iron may be required.
